According to TV By the Numbers, Happy Endings saw a 22 percent rise in adults 18-24 compared to last week. While the ratings still aren’t great, I remain incredibly optimistic.
Although, if ABC decides not to renew it (sounds better than cancellation), then there is always the chance that the USA Network would be interested in picking it up according to a Deadline report earlier this week.
It worked for another ABC comedy last year, Cougar Town. And, it seems to be working out really well for TBS. But, they have that comedy foundation on the network. It would be interesting to see if it actually happens, where USA would put Happy Endings and how they would promote it against its drama heavy schedule, with the exception of Psych and original comedy pilots currently in development.
